Bob Morton
Bobby "Blue" Morton was born in the early 50's in a small Wyoming town that was originally a U.S. Calvary Post along the Oregon Trail. Bob took up guitar not because of any musical interest or talent, but because he hoped to make friends and meet girls. The first time he ever played guitar was in a 6th grade band called Caesar and the Gladiators, which was a two-piece band (guitar and drums), whose only gig was in the basement of an old Episcopal Church and whose only song was "Gloria." The band fell apart quickly when Bob and the drummer could not agree as to who was Caesar and who was the gladiator. Bob's next attempt at music was in a band called The Sensuals, which was an all male band at an all male reformatory school. The band was short lived when everyone realized there were no chicks to be had. The college years had Bob drifting in and out of various bands around Wyoming and Colorado, including "Fandango," "I. W. Harper & the Medicine Bow Weevils," and "The Slimy River Bottom Band." Bob is one of the original members of the "Out of the Blue" band and while his guitar playing has improved, he still doesn't have any friends. The band tolerates his presence because of his limited guitar playing skills, his willingness to carry the equipment for gigs and the fact that he will always buy drinks for the whole band just so they will sit at the same table with him. In Bob's "real life," he is a lawyer who represents insurance companies, which again explains why he doesn't have any friends.

I am honored to be the drummer for this fine outfit. I am originally from Southern California where I majored in beach sleeping and the vices of the 60's. My musical roots go back to when Satisfaction was a hit single played every 30 minutes on KRLA. My 4th grade buddy and I decided we should go to Tijuana to buy cheap guitars and start a band. Upon sharing this dream with my Rock-a-phobic father he offered this life-changing advice.Son, he said, I've seen the Beatles, and the guitarists have to stand up the whole time. You are just too lazy for that. I think you should play the drums, so you can sit on your ass.' And so it went. Drums were also a good match for my ADHD. I got my first set of drums at age 10 (unless you count my set of Folger's Coffee cans). I then received my early training in school bands and high school marching band, where I learned something more important than rudiments. I found if I put a frozen can of beer in my shako (that's the name for those tall, black fuzzy hats you wear in marching bands to amplify the humiliation) that it would be thawed to the perfect temperature by the end of our half time routine. After escaping from California, I played in some memorable Salt Lake City bands: Borderline, Third Party, The Sleazy Lounge Lizards, Zen Boogie. These musical associations gave me the opportunity to play some of Utah's finest music venues: The Hole in the Wall Saloon; Nancy's Lounge; The Brewery Tap Room, the Bistro (Logan), the U, Salt Lake Country Club, the Elks Lodge, and probably others that have slipped from my memory. As you can see, things have been looking up since associating with this fine assortment of aging hippies. My day job (which I intend to keep unless everyone of you and 1000 of your friends buys one of our CDs) is clinical psychologist, divorce mediator, custody evaluator, and special master. Finally, the thing I am most proud of& I don't have any nutty idea about cats, like Cordell.

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah a week late, and haven't been on time for anything since. In my mid-twenties I decided to take a few voice lessons and try music as a profession instead of a hobby. More years later than I care to count I'm still working toward that goal. Singing is one of those things in life that moves me in every way. Even though I'll never be as good at it as I want to be, I still love it. I auditioned for and was hired by Out of the Blue in 2000, and I'm glad to have found such a great group of people to play music with.

I started playing the guitar when I was about 17 years old in Florida. This I owe to one of my best friends David Outzen. If it wasn't for Dave I probably would have never picked it up. I moved to Utah with Nick Chiarito (One of my other best friends). I quit playing the guitar after moving to Utah mainly because I was to busy worrying about where my next meal would come from. I started playing again in my 30's. I have around fourteen years of guitar playing experience now. I also run and own Rebel Studios (Recording Studio). I own my own Web Hosting Company and work full time at another job. I'm basically a computer Geek, 20 years in the field. But, I do get plenty to eat now. It's time I don't have enough of. I'm also a cat lover YES I said it a CAT LOVER! I actually think cats know something that we don't and I'm actively try to find out what it is. I'm sure when I do I will have some insight into the Universe that I don't have now. Stay tuned! I owe all my success to my wife Michelle and family (They know who they are).

Born in the beautiful city of Provo, and then growing up in Sandy. I attended Brighton High, BYU and then the great U of U where I learned the true meaning of BS. I love, my husband, my family, the mountains and playing Bass. Music has always been the magic and pure joy in my life. Thank God, I have a wonderful Mother who helped me learn music, by getting me a piano when I was 5 and then a flute when I turned 7. These two instruments have guided me in so many ways. I still play them both. I learned to play the Bass 7 years ago, thanks to my husband and a funny little band who needed a Bass player. Playing in a band was once a dream I first had when I was 8, playing the Ukulele and singing in the park, and then it became a reality. My view of the band is like a family, often funny, sometimes insane and each person is bright and talented. I am very lucky to be part of the band. My hope is to create and play music until my departure day.

Steve Ault
Age: Older than dirt, but younger than Bob! Birthplace: Canton, Ohio (Home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame!) Education: Too much to do any good (BS, MS, PhD in Biology) Real job: Scientist and Thorn in Marketing's Side for one of Utah's numerous nutritional products companies. Dream job: Being kept by Bob! Born and raised in the Ohio heartland near Cleveland, the rock-and-roll capital of the world, Steve began his musical career with piano lessons at the tender age of 9. He absolutely hated it. In high school, Steve finally found his musical niche playing trumpet and baritone in the marching band, as well as piano in the jazz band. Steve played professionally with the "Dom Clivi Orchestra" while attending college in the 70's. Fortunately, Steve managed to survive the Disco Era without much brain damage.
